Glossary of Terms

Basic Layout – A basic layout is made using cardstock and/or patterned paper. The basic layout does not include enhancements, such as stickers or die cuts. Each page is always designed to coordinate with your photos and memorabilia.

Deluxe Layout – A deluxe layout is made using patterned paper, cardstock, stickers and/or die cuts, punch art, paper tearing or piecing. Each page is designed to coordinate with your photos and memorabilia.

Paper Tearing – A technique where paper is torn along the edges to give your pages interest and depth.

Paper Piecing – A technique where paper is cut into small pieces and put back together to make a specific pattern.

Punch Art – A technique using punches to make interesting shapes to enhance your pages.

Photo Corners – A non-permanent option for adhering your pictures to a page. Only the corners are adhered and can be removed at any time.

Journaling Box – A box on the page that provides you with space to journal your memories.

Poems/Quotes - Added to a page for a special touch. Research online or in books is required to find a personalized quote.

Pocket Page – A page with two pockets to hold any memorabilia you do not want permanently adhered to the page, such as: greeting cards, programs, menus, etc.

Brads and Eyelets - metal embellishments that add depth to a page.

Chalking - Chalk may be used on the edges of paper to enhance the design.
